Two hundred and fifty sonnets all gone
Which never can be changed much anymore
That I first saw and others looked upon
Then went about their lives and did ignore.
Two fifty little things behind those eyes
Three thousand and five hundred little lines
A calendar that makes me realise
That what we do in life ourselves defines.
So I write these things down for years and years
And then my jellied eyes are dried and gone
And never more will words bring me to tears
And not another rhyme I'll look upon
But still the things I've written they will stay,
On sale at my website sonnetaday.
