If all of Greek mythology were true,
Would I always be thirsty like a fool?
Would I spend all my time persuading you,
That beauty's not reflected in a pool?
There's something deep within us that we see,
If we look straight towards the face we meet.
When we are scared and lonely out at sea,
Or when we find a lost friend in the street.
I miss you now though it is long ago,
That we played with the others in our lives,
So many people that I used to know
Of whom now only memory survives.
Fantastic friends that have had to depart,
Whose warmth and friendship still fills up my heart.
